SHARK PARK

Public BBQ

Shark Park promises marine thrills but delivers something altogether more puzzling,a giant octopus presiding over concrete sharks embedded in the ground. It's the sort of delightfully confused theming that makes Australia so endearing. The barbecue facilities are genuinely excellent, positioned strategically near the sprawling playground where climbing structures challenge the over-fours while sandpits occupy the littlies. A purple pathway circles the entire affair, practically begging for bicycle adventures. The park's generous proportions mean families can spread out comfortably, and there's even gym equipment for those ambitious enough to exercise whilst their offspring shriek with delight. Despite the octopus identity crisis, it's a thoroughly sensible spot for a family barbie, with enough space and amenities to keep everyone content. Just don't expect actual sharks.
